This month’s AP FIT member spotlight shines on Kim Dillender and Steve Dillender. They bring a healthy competitiveness with each other and help others in the gym to push harder. It’s also a family affair with the Dillinder’s. All of there children have worked out at one point in time at AP FIT.

How did you get started with AP FIT?

My coworkers bothered me for 10 months about trying CrossFit I finally gave in and went to a class

Steve
My wife after Several months convince me that drinking coffee and watching the news every morning while sitting on my workout bench was not really working out

What Motivates you to keep doing CrossFit?
Kim
Being strong and trying new things.

Steve
There’s friendly competition with in the gym that pushes me to get better every day we celebrate each other’s accomplishments and have a collective desire to get stronger and healthier

What is your favorite crossfit movement?
Kim
Power cleans, deadlifts and toes to bar.

Steve
Deadlift

What is your least favorite?
Kim
Wall Balls and the Bike.

Running

What would you say is your greatest accomplishment while being a member of
AP FIT?
Kim
Competing in a CrossFit competition and being able to hold my own!

Finishing the Memorial Day workout Murph.

What would be some advice you would give to someone who is thinking about starting CrossFit?
Kim
Anyone can do CrossFit ! Start where you are and just get better every day. Everyone at AP fit is so helpful and encouraging so it makes working out fun

Steve
Stay with it trust and trust the process. There are no shortcuts to better health, mobility or weight loss. The days you don’t want to work out are the ones you need to go to most.
