How long have you been with AP FIT?
How did you get started at AP FIT?
I had been looking at CrossFit off and on for quite a while. I loved the group camaraderie and was really interested in the workout style and challenges. I did a quick Google search for gyms in Rock Island, and AP Fit came up. I was so nervous to reach out, but I am so happy I gave that first workout a try. I was hooked right way!
What motivates you to work out?
I have “That post-exercise feeling” written near the top of my joy list. No matter what kind of day I’m having, the endorphin rush that comes from a good workout always makes me feel better.

What’s is your greatest achievement while being at AP FIT?
Despite challenges that kept me down for brief stints of time, I have always come back. Even when it’s hard to get back at it and frustrating to feel like I’m starting over, I’ve built resilience, stamina, and strength through my daily workouts. Those skills have carried over into every aspect of my life.
What is your favorite thing about AP FIT?
Working out at AP Fit isn’t a quick-fix game or a challenge to conquer – it is truly a lifestyle. The workouts are varied and they *ALWAYS* start with quality time for stretching and mobility work. I used to get migraines regularly, but my daily movement at AP Fit keeps them from developing. Furthermore, the people I work out with are like family. We’re always cheering for each other and no person is ever left behind!
What would be some words of advice you would give someone who is thinking about trying AP FIT?
Embrace your nerves, take a deep breath, and DO IT! I always think about that Henry Ford quote “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t – you’re right.” Choose to believe in yourself and the rest will fall into place.
